Education Committee Member... Meet an Education Kim Grandprey The first MCF Education member to be profiled this year is one of our newest members, Nancy Kaseth! Nancy is a lifelong Minnesotan. She was born and raised near the south-central town of St. Clair, close to Mankato. After completing high school, Nancy attended Mankato State University where she received degrees in biology and chemistry. After graduating from MSU, Nancy started her career at Solvay Animal Health in analytical research and development. Two years ago Nancy began to work for 3M Pharmaceuticals, also in analytical research and development. She is currently involved with providing marketed product support for transdermal patches. Nancys chromatographic techniques are primarily HPLC (reverse and normal phase) and capillary GC. Nancy has been a member of MCF since 1993, and has been on the education committee for the last year. She was the MCF coordinator for the Advanced GC course given last January. Nancy and her husband Gordy have been married for seven years and have a darling two-year-old daughter named Elizabeth. Nancy enjoys many hobbies outside of work that she uses for relaxation including gardening, reading and sewing. She also enjoys spending time at the nature center near her house and taking her daughter to swimming lessons! WANTED: Guest Columnists Do you have a new chromatography technique or process? Do you have tips that could help others? Please share! Be a MCF Newsletter Guest Columnist! We are looking for innovative ideas in the chromatographic field. Please share your experiences/ideas to help your colleagues.
