Advanced HPLC Method Development November 27th & 28th, 2001 ... Announcing the MCFs workshop in Advanced HPLC! The purpose of this workshop is to provide training and insight into advanced applications and method development for HPLC, along with their application to practical industry and laboratory problems. The course will include classroom instruction along with the use of DryLab software for HPLC modeling. There will also be a question and answer session for problems encountered by the students in the class.

Note: Meet the Instructor Derek Southern is currently employed with LC Resources Inc. as VP, Director of Training. Derek initially received his B.Sc. at the University of Durham, UK in 1963 and later his MBA at Fairleigh Dickenson University, NJ in 1981. Over the years Derek has been employed at Whatman, BioRad, Beckman Instruments, and Hoefer Scientific managing product lines and product development. In addition, he has participated in Drug metabolism studies by TLC, done GC method development on polyhydric phenols and been QC manager at Cussons in the UK. Along with his professional chromatography career, Derek participates in university training programs. Since 1982 he has been part of the Onground and Online BA/BS and MBA programs (Marketing, International Management, Mathematics) at the University of Phoenix. He also is part of the Executive MBA program for Taiwanese Executive Management students (in Marketing) at City University, WA. In his work at LC Resources, Derek participates in a joint venture with LC/GC magazine where he helps manage and support a Chromatography Discussion group.
